ABOUT
Through the prism of the life of aristocrat Margita Czóbelová, we watch the dramatic changes that take place in 20th-century Central Europe and Slovakia, letting in more light to the roots of our contemporary social reality. We watch the „big“ history and its interaction with the „little“ personal history, the intertwining of key historical points, and the stories of everyday people where history becomes personal and personal becomes history.

CAST AND CREW
He studied Industrial Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava. He’s worked in advertising and design for many years, directed over 150 TV commercials for international and national clients and won several awards (FILIP Award, Grand Prix, Golden Nail Award, Epica Winner multiple times). He then went on to create and produce several short film formats and music videos. Jonas’ feature debut was a political thriller THE CANDIDATE (2013), a fictional story about the presidential election in Slovakia. His second film AMNESTY (2019) captures the period around the Velvet Revolution in 1989 and the subsequent uprising in the largest Czechoslovak prison.
